Maintenance and Bible school Assistant

Stiftelsen Missionssällskapet Fackelbärarna is a international organization that runs a Bible school and retreat center. The Maintenance department is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and building the facilities, both indoors and outdoors,. Any assistance given to the Bible school program will be from September-May. Both roles will fall under the leadership and organization of the maintenance coordinator and Bible school principal. The individual must be a committed Christian who lives out Christian values and is maintaining a consistent and vital walk with Jesus Christ. He/she is to cultivate quality relationships with staff, students, and local Swedes.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant include the following:

1. Work together with the Maintenance Coordinator to maintain the physical upkeep of the Holsby property.
2. Willing to carry out duties that involve building, painting, repair, and landscaping.
3. Help in the supervision of student workdays and other maintenance needs involving students.
4. Must have a good acquisition of the English language.
5. Take an active part in the Holsby community by attending staff meetings and other school functions.
6. Helping and encouraging other staff, students, and guests where applicable
7. Being available to assist outside of the above listed responsibilities.
8. As part of a non-profit organization, one must be willing to raise support through local churches or family/friends for a salary that will be paid out by the school.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license for being able to drive a manual vehicle.

Responsibilities of assistance to the Bible school program:

1. Take part in one of the local outreaches.

2. Help host a biweekly family group.

3. Available to help and possibly lead the music ministry.
