Job Description

We are now looking for a Senior Business Demand Architect supporting our sales businesses in Customers & Solutions Region Nordic!

In Customers & Solutions we offer fossil free electricity and services to our Business- and Consumer sales customers. Digitalization is one of our most prioritised areas and we are now looking for a Senior Business Demand Architect to take responsibility and leadership in our transition to become fully digitalized.

Responsibilities

As an Senior Business Demand Architect you will be part of strategic projects like setting the Region Nordic IT strategy, planning and documenting the future IT landscape, monitor, inventory and evaluate our operational applications and systems. You are responsible for all IT development is done according to Vattenfall´s standards and following our ambition to rationalize and converge to our future IT landscape.

You will have a dynamic role where you spend your time planning for our future IT landscape and contribute in projects and assignments for our operations. In project and assignments you represent good practice from IT perspective, Vattenfall standards and supporting in evaluating development alternatives.

Your key activities

• Deeply involved in the strategic work with focus on how the business strategy impacts the IT landscape and what capabilities will be needed to meet the future challenges and needs.
• Secure the overall holistic view of the IT landscape and secure that it is future proof and meets all units both short and long term needs in an effective way (both from a functional and cost effective point of view).
• Understanding new technology and how business can benefit from IT (AI, ML, RPA, Cloud etc).
• Understanding of the business needs and how to turn them into IT requirements.
• As Senior Business Demand Architect you participate in projects and new developments to secure the solutions fulfill the business needs and also follows defined strategy and guiding principles from both business and IT.
• Support business in IT related questions.
• Performing architectural reviews of new IT solutions to secure alignment with Vattenfall overall IT strategy and principles.
• Participate in Vattenfall common forums concerning IT to secure exchange of knowledge and experience as well as reuse of smart solutions and other possible synergies.
• Responsible for maintaining the overall documentation of the IT landscape for Region Nordic (e.g. document, maintain and secure high quality of the documentation of our systems).
• Work closely with security and IT around to secure high level of information- and IT-security as well as regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR).

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate

We are looking for a Senior Business Demand Architect who has minimum 10 years of experience within IT. We believe that you have good understanding of utility business processes and their IT landscape. Moreover, you have strong communication skills and can communicate with different levels in the organization. You know how to combine and balance stakeholders’ interests and are not afraid to take decisions to ensure output is being realized. We believe that you are dedicated to your work and enjoy being in an ever-changing environment and work under pressure when needed.

• Good understanding of the utility- and electricity business.
• Long experience of working with IT in a business context (min 5 years, preferably 10 years).
• Deep experience in business and IT architecture, covering both process, information and system view.
• Understanding and experience of agile methods and way of working.

Other qualifications

• Fluent in Swedish and English in written and spoken.
• Strong skills in Enterprise Architecture, experience in Solution/application architecture is not mandatory but a welcome “plus”.
• Ideally, understanding of Swedish security regulations to ensure critical data is adequately protected, but at least confident in addressing security aspects into architecture work
• Master’s degree with 10 years of experience in IT
