Within Manufacturing Engineering we have a team that develops the future manufacturing processes for our future EV cars. Our purpose is to develop and secure the best available techniques, develop the new manufacturing processes, develop standards and work in close collaboration with our colleagues at R&D and Manufacturing. We work closely together with all our customers, such as R&D, manufacturing shops worldwide and procurement.

The work location for the position is in Gothenburg.

What you´ll do

As the Casting Process Machinery Expert you will drive the integration and commissioning of our melting equipment, establish our foundry and drive the development of our new processes for aluminum high pressure die casting.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary development team and will be responsible for specification, design, installation, commissioning and validation of furnaces for melting and holding of aluminum alloys, plus associated molten metal transport and metal treatment systems, as well as large scale die casting equipment. You will also lead RFQ preparation and Tech evaluation of related suppliers and their technical solutions, support Purchasing in sourcing and perform MSA evaluations. Further you will:

- Diagnose equipment failures, collect data to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions.
- Develop Expert Level Training requirements for operator depended equipment and processes.
- Investigate, develop and implement countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns.
- Design and Implement Equipment Reliability Improvement Projects
- Benchmark and drive Best Practice solutions

Do you fit the profile?

We believe that you have a BS or MS Degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering or a PhD research background in a relevant field. You have expert knowledge in casting aluminum and preferably in high pressure die casting for larger parts.

- 5+ years of experience within the area.
- Outstanding root causing and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating & maintaining a positive atmosphere in a collaborative work team.

As a person we believe you are team oriented and drives changes and implementation. You are curious for new and improved solutions and are not afraid to challenge existing ideas and ways of working. You have a positive attitude and create good and long term relationships and are driven to be able to take the lead if needed to move forward. We also think that you are a structured person who plans and has documentation skills. Self-driven, result oriented, flexible, and positive attitude.
