In the Microbiologist position you will be conducting hands-on experimental work to produce reliable and precise data to support R&D and Quality Control activities. This includes both work in the laboratories and the Pilot production plant. You will also perform and record experiments including several different microbiological assays.

This Microbiology position will report to the Program and QA/RA Manager and will be based in Solna, on the old Karolinska Hospital site in spacious, dedicated laboratory facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on experimental work.
• Carry out new and repeat tasks accurately and according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain and operate standard microbiological laboratory equipment.
• Record and interpret results to present to colleagues and management.
• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced and that everything is clearly and correctly labelled.
• Keep up to date with developments in the microbiology field.
• Conduct searches on identified topics relevant to the R&D project work.

Qualifications

• BSc in Microbiology or related science
• At least 1+ years of experience in microbiological laboratory work.
• Experience in working according to GMP.
• Understanding of microbiological techniques and methods.
• Fluent English in speech and writing.
