Technical Manager ROL Workplace

ValueOne is recruiting a dynamic and experienced Technical Manager that will lead and develop product development and test organization for our customer ROL Ergo in Jönköping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and development, coupled with proven leadership skills and a passion for innovation.

ROL products are offered globally both through our own sales organization but also through distributors and have a turnover of approximately SEK 2 billion and have over 900 employees in 10 different countries.

The role

As the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing our product development and test organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure deliveries align with the company´s Product strategy. Additionally, you will play a key role in setting and communicating ROL´s strategic direction, as well as establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).

You will have full personnel and budget responsibility for your unit and be responsible for educating and mentoring the staff.

Main tasks:

• Lead and develop product development and test organization.
• Make deliveries according to the Product strategy.
• Create and communicate a strategic direction.
• Establish and follow KPI´s.
• Own, update and improve appointed processes.
• Motivate and engage through transparency and positive communication.
• Create an environment for others and yourself to grow.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Educating and mentoring human resources in the team and in related fields to improve collaboration within and between other teams.

Experience and competence

The ideal person for the role as Technical Manager should have an engineering background working in an international environment and experience in leadership and building teams. English and Swedish, oral and written, are required as well as knowledge about ways of working within research and development.
