About the position
As an Engineering Manager, you will be a part of our Engineering Management Team, working alongside our Director of Engineering, three other Engineering Managers, and lead roles in system architecture and SAFe/Scrum. The Engineering Management Team reports to our Director Engineering.

The Engineering department consists of about 50 engineers working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment within embedded systems, system software as well as windows applications and web services.

In your role, you'll lead a team of 8-16 individuals, who may come from different agile teams. Your overall responsibility will be to coach, empower and engage individuals and your teams to reach their highest potential and to maximize customer value. This includes managing performance evaluations, setting expectations, and administering compensation to foster personal growth and excellence in performance.

In this position, you will:

- Align, anchor and execute our strategy and roadmap.
Collaborate with managers and leaders (Product Managers, Product Owners, System Architects) to optimize conditions for team and individual success.
Evaluate performance and administer compensation, benefits, promotions, and corrective actions.
Attract, develop, and retain the best talent for teams aligned with business strategy and emerging technologies.
Support teams and individuals with problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision-making, while effectively delegating and prioritizing tasks.
Lead by example, embodying and promoting company values and policies.
Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Promote strong collaboration between departments, teams, and individuals.
Manage change effectively within the organization.
Assist in product planning and execution (including SAFe/Scrum ceremonies and events).
Build partnerships with suppliers, consultants, partners, internal and external stakeholders.

We believe you have:

- An educational background in engineering and have been working with software development for at least 5 years.

- Transitioned into leading role and have had that role for at least 3 years.

- Been part of several changes that involved behavioral changes in the organization/team.

- Professional level of English and advanced level of Swedish is desirable.

- Experience in Scrum/SAFe environment is meritorious.
