The role 
As Financial Controller, you are part of the Financial Control & Reporting team, overseeing the finalization and reporting of month-end figures for Viaplay Group entities. By proactively analyzing financial information, you ensure high-quality and compliant financial reporting through proposed improvements based on prior reporting periods, changes within the business, or to stay current with the regulatory environment.

Additionally, you actively contribute to the adherence to- and maintenance of the internal controls over the financial reporting, while also driving and engaging in various finance- and accounting-oriented initiatives.

As the main point of contact for various stakeholders within the finance function, your proactivity and stakeholder management are integral to your personal success and the broader achievements of the team and organization.

What we’re looking for 
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll need to possess at least some of the following: 

- Hold a bachelor’s degree within Finance, Accounting or similar.

- Have +3 years relevant work experience within financial control, auditing, accounting or similar.

- Strong analytical and communication skills.

- Proficient understanding of external regulations, GAAP and internal control compliance.

- Problem solving attitude and hands-on approach with high energy and work ethics.

It’s a bonus if you have: 

- Experience of working with Power BI or IBM Planning Analytics.

- Experience of working with process improvements utilizing RPA, VBA or similar.
