The Sandvik Group Communications team is set up by highly skilled professionals and we have the responsibility to support the Group’s business goals and objectives by developing both internal and external communications strategies that ensure operational excellence, employee engagement, an attractive brand and consistency across the Group’s channels. We are now looking for a Corporate Communications Business Partner to support our global IT function.

Your mission – delivering ground-breaking communication for IT

In this position, you are part of creating something new, exciting and in the forefront of communications as you support our global IT function. At Sandvik, IT has an instrumental and strategic role in our digitalization journey that presently is taking place on all levels of the organization.

You plan and execute communication activities to support IT’s business priorities with a strong focus on creating excellent communication towards end-users. You support senior managers within Sandvik IT, including the CIO, and you are a member of the Sandvik IT Management team. By using a large variation of communication channels you create innovative, high quality and timely communication. Other responsibility areas are communications planning, trainings, crisis communications and event management.

You report to the Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications and Brand at Sandvik Group Communications, but in your day-to-day work you coordinate most of your tasks with the IT organization stakeholders and your communications colleague within Sandvik IT. As the global IT function has a strong local footprint, this position is based in Sweden and the working time is shared between the different IT offices in Sandviken, Stockholm World Trade Center and Stockholm Kista.

Your character - a collaborative creator of results

We are looking for an experienced communicator with a degree in Communication, Journalism or with the corresponding skills and training. You have at least five years’ of experience from a similar position and are used to cooperating with different types of people, both by cultural background and by profession. Your high interest in new technology is a given. You also master many of the new collaboration tools available and you learn modern systems swiftly and easily. At Sandvik, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and Teams are very important platforms for how we communicate and collaborate. And finally, excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish are required.

We are genuinely interested in your collaborative and easy-going mindset as well as your curious attitude for finding new and smarter ways to communicate. You have a strategic mindset, but at the same time, you are an operational doer who stays focused on creating results in times of multiple parallel assignments and deadlines just around the corner. In addition, you have the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and you easily adjust your approach to suit the audience.
