The Job
As a full-time Legal Counsel, you will be part of Tendium’s dynamic Legal Team, currently consisting of two Legal Counsels. Even though the Legal Team is one of the smallest teams in the company, the Legal Team has a significant impact on the Tendium organisation and is essential in Tendium's growth and development. The team practices an open and collaborative atmosphere, always eager to assist and learn from one another.

The Legal Team is responsible for ensuring Tendium's compliance with applicable laws in relevant business areas and minimising any legal risks. The team provides support to all parts of the organisation by, for example, analysing, negotiating, and drafting contracts, conducting legal investigations, assisting various teams with legal inquiries, creating internal policies, and addressing the legal aspects of Tendium's services. The team’s work encompasses diverse areas including public access to information, artificial intelligence, technology, public procurement, intellectual property, labour law, corporate law, and more. As Tendium grows, more and more focus is placed on data protection, which will be one of the focus areas of this position, including developing and maintaining internal and external processes to meet the requirements of the GDPR, drafting GDPR policies, and staying current with relevant data legislation.

Given Tendium's evolving business model, the Legal Team often tackles unprecedented legal inquiries, and you will be entrusted with diverse tasks and responsibilities that revolve around the needs of the Tendium organisation. Your expertise and guidance in these areas will be instrumental in upholding the legal integrity of our company as we navigate the complex and ever-evolving legal landscape. For this role, we offer a permanent employment (Sw: tillsvidareanställning) starting with a 6-month probationary period.

About you

An excellent communicator, fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken;

Requirements

Swedish law degree;

Minimum experience of 1 year working at a law firm, as an in-house Legal Counsel, or similar;

Previous practical experience working with GDPR; and

A genuine interest working with data protection issues.
