Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team within DCS (Data Center Services) department at Tele2 is searching for a Linux Specialist. IaaS is crucial for Tele2, ensuring stable compute, storage, and other infrastructure components. This is a key function that the entire Tele2 relies on for the business to function and that enables tomorrow's technologies.

In the role of Linux Specialist, some of your responsibilities include:

Operating and maintaining Linux servers, ensuring top-notch performance.

Working in a complex, heterogeneous server environment.

-
Identifying and implementing efficient working methods and cost-saving strategies.

-
Representing the IaaS team across the organization, leading projects, and coordinating with various professionals.

-
Handling installation and operations at the OS level, including managing services like DNS, Proxy, Mail relay, Puppet, and RedHat Satellite.

-
Playing a significant role in our drive for automation and managing infrastructure through coding.

Who you are:

-
Extensive operational experience with Linux, especially in an Enterprise environment.

-
Hands-on experience with RHEL/CentOS or similar Enterprise distributions.

-
Proven track record with tools such as Puppet and Ansible.

-
Knowledge of Redhat Satellite's deployment and patch management.

-
Familiarity with physical server hardware.

-
Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell scripting, Python, Ruby, and Perl.

-
Experience operating servers in virtual environments, notably VMware or RHEV.

-
Know-how in AD and LDAP.

-
Fluency in both Swedish and English. Note: The primary language of our group is English.

A valid B category driving license.

It's a Plus if You Have:

-
Experience deploying servers and integrating them using VMware vRA.

-
Worked with version control systems like Subversion or Git.

-
Knowledge in Block Storage technologies like iSCSI/Fibrechannel, NFS, GlusterFS, Ceph, and Object Storage.

-
Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.

-
Familiarity with Data Protection systems, particularly Veeam and EMC Networker.

Knowledge of PCA.
