Candela’s ultimate purpose is to speed up the transition to fossil fuel-free lakes and oceans. We strive to re-think efficiency in marine transportation and radically push the performance boundaries of electric boats and ships.
By combining sensors, computers and advanced submerged hydrofoils, our electric craft fly above the water, reaching speeds and range previously attained only by fossil fuel powerboats.
Thanks to their remarkable performance, Candela’s craft are now the best-selling electric boats on the market. Our first model, Candela C-7, quickly became Europe’s best-selling electric boat after its introduction in 2019. Its successor, the bigger C-8 day cruiser, outsold the C-7 just 3 months after launch, amassing over 100 orders.
We are also venturing into professional watercraft with the revolutionary foiling P-30 ferry and the P-12 taxi boats.
We are now looking for a highly motivated Sales and Partner Manager for our new office in Cannes, to support Candela’s ambitions. We anticipate an exponential growth over the coming years as we’re expanding into new geographical markets and scaling up production.
Candela has a dealer strategy for Europe, but still have several geographical markets where we sell boats directly to end customers. Therefore, the purpose of your assignment is two-fold: Making our south European dealers successful, as well as being responsible for direct sales on south European Markets where we don’t have dealers today.
Centrally, at Candela HQ in Sweden, we have a Sales and marketing team consisting of 10 people, all focused on the global market. Sales and marketing assets and tools will be provided centrally, but we are looking forward to your input on how Candela best should adapt marketing material and offer to succeed best on “your” markets.
We have achieved industry-leading sales by executing focused PR drives, starting online conversations, pushing SoMe and attending fairs & events. In the role as Sales and Partner Manager your main task will be to create sales of hundreds of boats per year in your markets. Globally we are aiming to generate sales of at least 1 800 boats per year within a 4-year period.
You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer at Candela and assist as we build up the office in Cannes with more sales representatives and service/aftermarket technicians.
KPI:s that will be important for your success in your markets:
- # of sold boats through partners
- # of sold boats direct towards end-customer
- # leads generated from local marketing efforts
To be successful in the role:
- +10 years’ experience in sales
- Experience as Key Account Manager / Partner responsible
- Fluid in French and English
- A hands-on “doer” approach to challenges
- You are looking forward to working physically at our HQ in Cannes, in a down-to-earth team, driven by our vision - to speed up the transition to fossil-fuel free boating
- You have a background within exclusive yacht sales or electric vehicle sales
- You have both B2B and B2C experience
- You have a relevant existing network of potential Candela customers
- Can speak Spanish and/or Italian.
