Job Description

In the role of Head of Global Media, you will be responsible for leading the global media strategy, budget and team for the H&M brand, across all markets and business units. Media represents the largest budget within marketing and has been identified and proven as the key driver of our business and our future growth. You will oversee all paid media channels, owned media channels, media innovation as well store & e-com as media channels.

This role is responsible for securing that the H&M brand is top of mind for all consumers around the world, in order to maximize traffic, conversion, and therefore sales and profit.

Areas of responsibilities cover all of H&M:

  • Responsible for leading and developing a department of 35+ members, with 10 direct reports. and core member of the Brand Development management team.
  • Oversee:
  • Global media strategy.
  • Global media budget including centrally bought media, regional budgets, business units budgets.
  • Paid media channels – all paid digital media centrally bought and managed, strategy and advisory for locally bought traditional media, market measurement,
  • Owned media – email, push, SEO, Retail communication (store or e-com)
  • Media innovation – strategy and test and learn plan for new and social channels
  • Business Units specific media strategies and activations.
  • Regional frames and support for media strategy and activations.
  • Global media measurement strategy, tools and tracking (MMM, MTA, Advertising tracking…)
  • Agency & media partners relationship and pitch process.


We are looking for a well- rounded leader, with passion for brand building & media and for leading and developing teams: A humble and empathic leader with strong communications and collaborations skills, who has experience working with larger teams and multiple stakeholders. As a person, you enjoy working with others and including them in setting the goals and strategy for the brand. You are also an open-minded person that can set a vision and inspire others.

We would love to meet someone who:

  • 10 – 15 years within the marketing and media area, preferably within paid media
  • Experience with working in a large global and international organization
  • Previously worked across different markets
  • Knowledge in brand building and setting global strategies
  • Experience in handling larger budgets and setting KPIs and analyzing the outcome
  • Data-driven and analytical – Able to turn insights into actions and clear business strategies
  • Experience in leading larger teams, including leading leaders.
  • Goal-oriented and flexible

Additional Information

This is a full-time permanent position starting as soon as possile. The role is based in Stockholm and you will report to H&M Global Brand Director.
