In our Purchasing Business Development team we have the mission to challenge and develop Scania Purchasing. We want to allow all employees to reach their full potential by providing excellent ways of working together with our knowledge and support. We do this by improving and creating new processes, systems, tools and methods with the target to increase efficiency and ensure that purchasing is adapting to the changing future market demands.
One of the best things about our job is that we are working all the way from identifying user needs to developing, implementing and training new solutions. We are working closely to Purchasers, IT developers and other Scania functions along the way. It gives us a great understanding of Purchasing and the whole company together with a fantastic network of colleagues and friends. Another important part is that Scania always puts us employees in focus, which means that there are exciting ways to develop both as team and as individuals.
In total, Scania Purchasing has around 700 employees around the world and our global purchasing organisation is based in Södertälje, where we are located in a newly renovated activity based office, close to the train station. In our team we are eight persons and we are now looking for an additional team member who will strengthen our overall competence level and can help us to fulfil our mission.
The team member we are looking for
We are looking for a positive and self-motivated person with a strong interest in understanding and fulfilling the needs of the customer and user. That you are communicative and proactively assist and involve others is therefore important. We see that you are creative and innovative with a passion to improve how things can be done and you also thrive in a changing and sometimes unclear environment. We want you to put the team and the team deliveries in focus and be involved in setting and reaching our goals as well as contribute to how we can improve our own way of working.
It is perfectly ok if you do not have years and years of working experience, we will put you, your personality and competences on top. However, you probably have a university degree within for example engineering or user/customer experience area and you should be fluent in English since this is the common company language.
