You want to make a difference. So do we.
Volvo Cars is on an exciting journey, redefining the automotive experience by innovating to make people’s lives less complicated. We offer you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of making an impact in a company with unique opportunities to grow and make a true difference.
What is in it for you?
As an analysis engineer on the complete electrical level, you will learn how to use our different tools being used when testing, but also some about VCATS and VIDA used by VCC factory and aftermarket. The job will require that you are interested and willing to learn these areas along with getting some understanding of the base technologies involved in the system behaviour.
What you will do
Today the integration testing is performed semi-automated or manually, in the future it will be fully automated and a part of the CI flow, which will influence the job for the analysis engineer. It is reasonable to believe that the job will evolve from executing testing, problem solving, analysing results and a lot of communication with people from all areas within R&D, to further analyse test results and communication. To be able to reach that state, an automated test flow for all variants and configurations of electrical systems supported by analysis and cross-functional communication, we need to develop test cases and a working process that we believe in - you will be a part of that development.
This job requires having a lot of personal contacts in your everyday work, which is a rewarding part of it, as you will develop your communication skills and get a large contact base within many different areas of VCC for sure. You will be a member in a team of analyse engineers and the team will be supported by basetech experts when needed. The Change Request Board managing all electrical related HW/SW releases within P&Q will ask you for your findings when taking decisions on a release and you will work in a close cooperation with people from different areas of the electrical integration organisation 94900. Your contribution to making our cars as good as intended will be significant, it is crucial that this testing and quality assurance is being done and today there are 4 analysis engineers doing it, maybe you will become the 5:th?
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, it is most important that you are a quick learner who enjoys diving into new things. Moreover, you should have an education in data technology or electronics. We believe that you are fluent in English, spoken and in writing.
As you will collaborate with many different people, we see that you have good collaboration and communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
What do we offer?
If you have a suitable background, interested and happy to join our team, we promise you that we will do everything we can to make you feel welcome and support you when performing your new job. The team itself is small, but there are a lot of skilled happy people from other teams around in the testing area - it is a great place to be at work.
