The team members of Purchasing Autonomous & Connected Systems are working in a dynamic environment where the development of electrical components to Scania products is running fast and requirements both on the products and our suppliers are increasing.
As a Senior Sourcing Manager you are accountable for the strategies and targets within one of Scania purchasing’s most dynamic segments with high turnover, complex parts & technologies and great commercial cost improvement opportunities. This is a great opportunity for the right person to further develop their skills.
You will have a lead role in several purchasing 3-rings consisting of quality managers and project purchasers where you will support and align activities to ensure that the strategies are implemented.
You will be the voice of purchasing driving cost down activities together with all internal stakeholders, such as R&D and production.
In your daily work you will take lead in negotiations with strategic suppliers, coordinate and align activities closely with purchasing colleagues in the TRATON and Volkswagen group. You will run strategic nominations of new business together with your project purchasing colleagues as well as working to align and improve processes within the area of Connected & Autonomous systems.
You are a person who likes to take the lead in working with others and is interested in developing your leadership skills further. You are proactive, analytical, structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives and are able to handle multiple cases. You have a strong commercial but also technical interest and love to work with supplier relationship management and succeed in negotiations.
You have at least 3 years of purchasing experience, are ready to take on a senior role with strategic long-term mindset and share your knowledge with others and coach more junior colleagues.
As the role involves a large international network and travelling, you are fluent in writing and speaking English. Other language skills are an advantage.
You like to work with cross functions and be a senior representative of Purchasing towards internal functions and suppliers. You are self driven and ambitious and make your department reach all business goals. You like to present in front of management where your recommendations are clear and you provide essential information to make the right decisions for strategical key areas.
Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity with a good judgement and can adapt to work according to Scania’s company culture.
